Kelly Green

Top: Anthropologie | Jeans: AG | Bag: Anthropologie | Shoes: Franco Sarto

I'm LOVING coloured denim right now. At first I was worried I wouldn't have many ways to wear bright green jeans, but I've been finding them so versatile! I paired them with a neutral textured top and my navy purse for one more pop of colour here, but I'm looking forward to trying them with some prints and contrast colours!

Shop Crush: Lola and Emily

Lola and Emily is one of my favorite boutiques in Montreal. I discovered it my first time in the city a few years ago, and it was love at first sight. With now two locations, Lola and Emily is a women's boutique offering both trendy and classic apparel and accessories. Carrying brands such as Free People, Velvet and Filippa K.

What makes the boutique so special for me is the unique pieces they choose from these classic brands, and the way they showcase them. The product is displayed among antique furniture from India and handmade displays. Every piece feels special and loved. I adore all things lady-like, and Lola and Emily truly embodies the feminine aesthetic I love.

Taco Night

I don't think I could pick a favorite food or even a favorite type of food, but fish tacos are high on my list. There is something so fun and interactive about serving tacos for a casual dinner, not to mention they are delicious! I found the fish recipe here (and used mahi mahi) and mixed it with mango salsa and lime drizzle found here.

J.Crew Canada

While shopping at Yorkdale mall in Toronto last weekend, I was stopped dead in my tracks by a giant J.Crew "coming soon" sign. That's right my fellow Canadians, J.Crew is finally crossing the boarder. Set to open this August, I can only imagine the crowds this opening will bring.

A few looks that I'm loving from the Fall 2011 runway in NYC...

Je T'aime, Montreal

colourful old homes
poutine - french fries with gravy, cheese curds, bacon, onions and mushrooms
Atwater Market
bixi bikes - bikes for rent parked all over the city
french cheese, need I say more?

I spent last week in Montreal to pack up our condo and say goodbye to the city one last time. Living there in the winter wasn't exactly the most enjoyable (hello -40 weather) but the summer makes it worth it. The city comes alive with entertainment, culture and delicious french food. I'm not surprised it just got voted the 3rd best summer city in the world! I look forward to visiting again soon, just not in the winter.

Outfit Inspired

Top: Anthropologie | Jeans: BDG | Clutch:  Friis Company | Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell

I was so inspired by this post by WhoWhatWear on the colour trend going on right now, that I had to try it! Colour blocking is new for me, as I'm usually pretty simple with my outfitting, but I'm loving this trend too much to pass it up.

Bicycles and Picnics

Hello lovelies, I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend. I was so lucky to have one of my best friends come visit me from Toronto :) I was beginning to get a little homesick so this was such a treat. We spent the weekend having picnics, riding bikes (I may have had a little bicycle/bush accident.....no comment) and enjoying many patio drinks. I can't wait to head east this week to visit more of my friends and family!
