Shrimp and Avocado
I'm such a big fan of Jamie Oliver. Not just for his naked chef days and his adorable accent, but also because I really love his recipes and passion for food. I found this recipe in his Jamie's Food Revolution cookbook, which is based on his food movement called Pass It On. A mission to help people not only learn to cook but also enjoy it. I think this is so inspiring, and I love that he wants to share his passion and educate others. This dish was tasty, simple and a great weeknight meal!

Leopard
Sweater: Aritzia | Jeans: AG | Necklace: Anthropologie | Booties: Nine West (outlet)
This outfit is a bit of everything I'm loving for fall, pullover sweaters, booties, chunky necklaces and of course leopard print. The leaves are slowly starting to change, so exciting! I think I need to enjoy my first pumpkin spiced latte of the season this week. YUM!
Side note: Please excuse my crazy bangs. I've been torn between keeping them or growing them out. Still undecided.

Home Inspired: Workspace
I dream of a pretty girly workspace in my home, a place to pin up inspiration, organize my crafts and enrich my creativity. This is of course just a dream, as our workspace is a small space in our solarium that the boy has taken over as his office. I've convinced him to let me keep some art supplies in there, next step is talking him into an inspiration board. I'm sure I will win this battle, eventually.

Layers of Fall
Dress: Aritzia | Scarf: Anthropologie | Bag: UO | Boots: Zigi
I spent most of the weekend unpacking and getting organized in our new place, settling in seems to be a bigger project than I anticipated! While going through my clothes and accessories I realized that I won't be needing my sandals and summer dresses anymore. The weather turned crisp last week, and it seems summer has officially come to an end. Although I'm little sad to pack up my breezy layers, I'm excited to replace them with cozy ones. I'm officially on a hunt for the perfect pair of booties, oversized chunky sweaters and scarves in every print and colour possible.... Fall, I love you.

Home Inspired: Living Room
Love these crisp white rooms with pops of colour in the pillows and the artwork. We have 10 foot ceilings and a huge empty space above our couch, I think filling this space will be my biggest challenge in the condo. I'm playing around with a few ideas, such as one large piece of art, two pieces side by side or a gallery wall. Any advice?

Stuffed Red Peppers
I often grill vegetables to pair with chicken or salmon or whatever it is I'm having, but I thought this week I'd try something a little different. I found this Stuffed Red Pepper recipe on Martha Stewart's website (a go-to for me when it comes to food) and I'm really pleased with how it turned out! The best part is it took no time to make, yet looks like a very detailed dish.

Aritzia Fall/Winter

Aritzia never fails to bring us beautiful pieces season after season, and this fall is no exception. The collection has a modern aesthetic mixed with playful, effortless layers. I'm loving the pops of bright colours and bold prints, especially the oversized sweater in the last image!

By The Water
Dress: Club Monaco | Clutch: Anthropologie | Shoes: Nine West (outlet)
We attended another beautiful wedding over the weekend. It's still very warm in Vancouver, so I chose a light weight dress with a beaded shoulder detail that I'm in love with. I sort of wish I could dress up like this everyday.

Home Inspired: Dining
Our dining area is going to be a bit of a challenge. I love to entertain guests, but our space is a little on the small (tiny) side. I want the area to feel purposeful, but not consume the room or look awkward. In order to help anchor the space, I'd like to add a large scale light above the table. I love the ones in these images, along with the weathered tables and white chairs.

Moving Day
Hope you all enjoyed a lovely and relaxing long weekend! We spent most of ours moving, but managed to enjoy a few drinks, beach sunsets and homemade crepes. I'm glad the hard work is over and the fun unpacking can begin!

August Photobook
The last bits of summer are quickly fading away. Why does August always seem to go by so much quicker than July? I did manage to squeeze in a few trips to the beach, a trip to Salt Spring Island with my family, and even a quick trip to seattle. Hopefully between moving this weekend we can sneak in one last day at the beach.
On another note, thank you again to the lovely Jacquelyn from Lark and Linen for featuring me on her blog, as well as to Megan from Aussie Blue who featured me as her August Muse! Megan is a very talented writer with great taste, make sure you check out her blog.
