Evening Stroll

Dress and Necklace: Anthropologie | Cardigan: Club Monaco | Clutch: Friis Company | Shoes: Gap

After a busy start to our week my boyfriend and I decided to take ourselves out to a nice dinner, followed by a walk through a neighbourhood full of vibrant green trees and extravagant homes. We took turns picking out which house we'd buy if we won the lottery.

Since we have barely experienced spring, let alone summer in Vancouver, I find myself wearing maxi dresses much more than the usual leg bearing dress (in fear of frost bite...seriously!) Hopefully July will be more promising.

The Little Things

Most of my belongings are still currently living in  Montreal with my boyfriend, but I decided that I needed to add a few special touches to my temporary space to help make it feel like home...

- pink peonies in a mason jar
- sparkly knobs and a printed bowl for my go-to jewelry
- displaying one of my favorite dresses by Tracy Reese
- necklaces and a printed pillow to brighten up my bedroom

Food Board

Have you heard of Pinterest yet? If not, you MUST check it out. It's basically a collection of beautiful images that you can pin and create your own online inspiration boards from. I discovered this amazing site thanks to my lovely friend Andrew (not to be confused with my boyfriend, also Andrew!) Check out his personal blog here and his Martha blog here. These are a few examples of my boards, check out the rest here!

Jacket: Anthropologie | Dress: Free People | Shoes: Matt Bernson

I'm loving the look of military jackets. I now own two, and am considering investing in a vest as well... Maybe that's a little much but I think when you find something that works you should go with it!

I mentioned in this post that wedges were my favorite spring trend, so I obviously couldn't help myself when I found this pair of Matt Bernson's. If you haven't already heard of this amazing New York designer (a former construction worker!) then be sure to check out his website. I'm thinking these will need to be my next purchase!
