Ever since I got a bicycle a few months ago, I've been wondering how I ever went this long without one!? Andrew and I bike everywhere now. To the beach, to restaurants and of course around the sea wall (around the ocean in Vancouver). I found mine on Craigslist, a red vintage beach cruiser from the 70's complete with squeaking and rust (I love it).
I'm glad I finally caught on to the bicycle trend, and wish I had long ago. Now I just need to learn to look as stylish as miss Olivia Palermo while I ride!

Seriously, OP. How does she bike and look like that?! I look like a mis-matched vintage workout gear ad;)
ReplyDeletei don't think i could ever ride my bike in a skirt! LOL!
ReplyDeleteGreat compilations of bike pics! Welcome to the wonderful world of cycling. I feel like people get caught up in the practicality of it all and feel like to commute by bike it to don head to foot spandex but it's completely possible to commute stylishly by bike. Although I could do with looking a bit more like Miss Palermo when I ride...
ReplyDeleteI think I could do with looking a bit more like OP all the time. But couldn't we all? :) So stylish.
DeleteI love cruisers! It is so funny that you found your vintage red bike, rust and all on craigslist because just last weekend I bought a old vintage red bike off of craigslist too! I can't wait to repaint it and take it out on the town in Vancouver.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see another Vancouver Fashion blogger :)

Thanks Lucia, glad you like it :)
ReplyDeleteI have been hunting for the perfect vintage-y (although new) bicycle for ages. I have daydreams of pedaling to market and coming back with bread and fruit in a little bicycle basket. Dorky? Maybe, but I hope to eventually make it happen.
ReplyDeleteSeriously best purchase of my summer. You need to get one! Complete with the bread, fruit and basket :)
