This past week I attended the Converse Spring 12 preview. The event was amazing (hosted in a recording studio in Gastown) and the shoes were adorable! So many different styles, colours and designer collaborations as well as very informative. What I love most about the brand is that it's such a classic that stays true to it's roots, while continuing to evolve and surprise us. 

To help showcase the collection, I featured miss Julie Sarinana of Sincererly Jules for this weeks Trend Crush. She knows how to rock the runners, proving just how versatile they can be!

Pretty quiet week over here! Had a dinner date with my guy (we try and treat ourselves to one date night a week) and took the opportunity to wear my new (favorite) flats. Some weeks I find I'm full of energy and others I'm seriously in need of naps, this week is one of those weeks. Is it Friday yet?

Our Coachella tickets arrived in the mail last week, which of course got my mind spinning around outfit choices! Thankfully many sites including Threadsense, Refinery29 and Planet Blue (where I found these beautiful images from their "Gimme Shelter" Coachella inspired lookbook) are all sharing great styling tips and inspiration to help plan what to pack. I can't wait to let out my inner hippie and enjoy some sunshine! You can be sure I will be sharing much more Coachella styling inspiration over the next few weeks too!

Trend Crush: Peplum

To tag onto my last post with my peplum blouse, I decided to feature the silhouette for this week's Trend Crush (thank you to Jen of Her Waise Choice  for the suggestion!) I'm loving this trend in skirts, dresses and especially in tops. The flare at the hips can be a bit intimidating, but when paired with the right pieces (balanced with something slimmer) it's actually quite flattering!

I've become pretty obsessed with anything leopard, and even more obsessed with leopard paired with a bright colour. I'm dying for some leopard flats and a bag too! This print is seriously starting to take over my wardrobe! 

On another note, I'm so happy with my hair! If you live in the Vancouver area I highly recommend my stylist Alicia from Pomp and Proper. The girl is a master with colour!

After writing this post on my current love for pink blazers, I thought I would start a new series on my blog called "Trend Crush" highlighting weekly trends or looks that I'm loving at the moment. I hope you like it, and would love any suggestions!

Hair Decisions

Over the past year I have changed my hair several times, first blunt bangs, then I chopped the length to just bellow my shoulders, and then played around with a sort of ombre look. (Which I sort of just felt looked like I really needed highlights) Well now that all of that has grown out, I've decided to get back to basics. Long and light blonde. Perfect for spring and very simple. Looking forward to my trip to the salon this week!

February was pretty eventful over here. Between weekend trips, Valentine's day and birthdays, things have been pretty busy! I'm so excited for March because it means SPRING is finally here!!! I know you all feel me when I say I've had enough of winter! It SNOWED in Vancouver yesterday! I really can't handle it anymore. Hello March and goodbye winter!
