Well I have finally figured out how to do a top knot. It's so easy, I know, but for some reason I just couldn't get it right. I'm really fussy about my hair when it's up, but now that my bangs have grown out it's so easy to throw it up that I've been doing it more often. The trick, for me, is to pile it high rather than wide, does that make sense? Maybe sometime I will do a how-to incase anyone else has been as challenged as me!

This is why I want long hair!!!!!! Adorable on you!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cathy! I do adore shorter hair pony tails too!
DeleteI have been wanting that dress for so long. The purple is amazing on you and perfect with those booties.
ReplyDeleteLeah you need to get it! I wear mine all year round, dress it up or down. It's worth the investment.
DeleteThat photo of you smiling is the cutest thing I've ever seen! Perfect perfect outfit.
ReplyDeleteThanks my lovely Ally xx
DeleteI love your dress, the color is beautiful and perfect for fall. And your top knot is so cute. I have so much trouble getting mine in one.
ReplyDeleteI was seriously challenged getting mine look right too. Seems so simple, apparently not! xo

DeleteThat is such a cute little topknot! And i love that dress! The colour is so rich and lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit - and your top knot of course! My hair is never going to be thick enough to pull off any kind of top knot, so I'm a little envious. :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE this dress! Such a gorgeous color & cut! It looks amazing on you!
ReplyDeleteThis dress is so beautiful! I love the colour and the cut, it's perfect for fall, and looks like a good everyday, throw it on and go choice! And your top knot looks great too, I could definitely use a how-to; it's not the piling it up part that gets to me, but the making it stay there part. :P
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to have just discovered your site, it's a wonderful space. Wishing you a great weekend ahead! :)
Thanks Ana! I'm glad you found my blog as well. I will be doing a how-to soon, so stay tuned! xo
DeleteGreat job, Sarah! I love the way your highlights look in the top knot. Have you heard of the Cotton Candy Bun? I just created a tutorial on my site. Try this one next :) Xo, Nichole

I adore the colour of your dress. I would love to see a tutorial on how to create a topknot. No matter how much I try I can never seem to get them right or I wake up with an amazing bun after sleeping in one but it always falls out before noon.
