What I love most about military pieces, is how they add a certain edge to a more feminine outfit. Mixed with lace, bows or red lips you create a perfectly balanced look. I'm loving the TEXTILE Elizabeth and James jacket in image one, as well as the Emerson Fry jacket in image four. Such a perfect addition to any fall wardrobe (even though I already own two).

I've been thinking about purchasing a military piece this fall but haven't found the perfect one yet. I agree - they definitely have an "edgy" factor.
ReplyDeletego for the glam
I just bought a leather-sleeved military jacket at Nordstrom today!

DeleteI love the idea of adding a military jacket to my wardrobe... and number four is absolutely amazing!! I adore Emerson Fry! Hope your weekend is super! xo V
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely, hope you had an amazing weekend as well! I adore all things Emerson Fry too, she is so amazing xx
DeleteI admit that I've never really managed to take part in this trend, although I do absolutely love the coat in photo 4 - if I could find one like that I'd be sold in a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteShe does a beautiful leopard jacket as well, I'd take that in a heartbeat as well!
ReplyDeleteMilitary coats are possibly one of the most versatile pieces. Amid all the other great coats in my wardrobe my military cape coat is always my go-to. I'm coveting a thicker mixed media one to get me through the winter months.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on this. I never get tired of the perfect military jacket!
