Trend Crush: Military

one | two | three | four | five

What I love most about military pieces, is how they add a certain edge to a more feminine outfit. Mixed with lace, bows or red lips you create a perfectly balanced look. I'm loving the TEXTILE Elizabeth and James jacket in image one, as well as the Emerson Fry jacket in image four. Such a perfect addition to any fall wardrobe (even though I already own two).

  1. I've been thinking about purchasing a military piece this fall but haven't found the perfect one yet. I agree - they definitely have an "edgy" factor.

  4. I admit that I've never really managed to take part in this trend, although I do absolutely love the coat in photo 4 - if I could find one like that I'd be sold in a heartbeat.

  6. Military coats are possibly one of the most versatile pieces. Amid all the other great coats in my wardrobe my military cape coat is always my go-to. I'm coveting a thicker mixed media one to get me through the winter months.
